Lessons and Values...

Anak kecil main api
Terbakar hatinya yang sepi
Air mata darah bercampur keringat
Bumi dipijak milik orang…

Do you remember that song???Or even recognize it???Blur???

Maybe some people still remember and recognize the lyrics… It was the theme song in BTN programme..The participants must always sang the song throughout the day but yet not for the whole day…Means that during the day and the night..The song itself has literal meanings and only the chosen one, who really wants to know about it will successfully get and have a feel during singing the song..

What could I say about the values??? I frankly said that due to the programme, I really and totally realized the history of Malaysia..Bear in mind!!! BTN is not a racism programme..It reveals the truth and the facts that we as Malaysians should know..Stop blaming others if we want to unite..Realize that unity is the strength for us…Just be a co-operative community in this multi-racial society..It’s not hard actually..Give and take is one of the key…

Besides, there are four important quotients, which are important for us to be a ‘complete’ human being in this world.. Intellectual quotients (IQ), physical quotients (PQ), sensory quotients (SQ) and last but not least, emotional quotients (EQ)..We should have and balance these four elements in ourselves. .. Taking an example,Sufiah Yusuf. She is the genius one but see!! Observe!! What’s already happened on herself?? Yes, she is the intelligent one but she did not have enough EQ, SQ and PQ in order to face challenges in her life..

BTN taught me to be matured undergraduates..Not only thinking about ourselves and our family but the other priorities are also the nation and teh country, Malaysia.. The government spends lots of money to ensure that we can pursue our studies…So, now it’s our turn to appreciate the government by giving full commitment in study and we will work under the government department as finish our studies in the future…I can do it!!Never give up..

I could realize the reality of life either in Malaysia or even around the world..I’m grateful to have a happly life here..And it’s not impossible if we don’t unite ourselves, it will harm the country..Means that war over there…Here and there…

SAY 'NO' TO WAR!!!!

Biro Tatanegara (BTN)

Interesting!!!Superb!!! That’s all or more than that….I could say Biro Tatanegara (BTN) was really an amazing programme, which I had been participated. I really enjoyed that programme and it was hard for me to say sayonara during my last day in the programme..

BTN was held from 06th July until 10th July..Yeah!!!Five days..but to be honest, I prefer to be in this programme rather than having a hectic life in INTEC…Busy with the assignments, quizzes, presentation….What’s more??? However, this is my real life as a student in this pre-university. I must admit that..Yarp!!!

Back to the subject!!!BTN was held at Tg. Rhu in Sepang, Selangor..It took about one and a half hour to reach there from Kolej Cemara..We went there by the UiTM bus..Yeah!!For sure..There’s no other transportation here instead you want to burn your pocket money having the cab at the Petronas station to go there..No way, man!!! Allowance is still not here…I don’t have money..Please, friends…Could you give me some??? Just kidding..but still I appreciate if you want to do so..

First day & second day…as usual like the other programmes..Guess??? Talks from different person.. .The head of facilitators presented the first project paper about the Nation…Bla…Bla… Continued with the next person until the fourth one..Done!!!One more thing!! We also had a Jawa facilitators there, En Jo…We have Jawa Ranger!!! We also had a test in the night..Just imagine. We only could prepare ourselves with the examination in the evening..Not enough time..Huh!!!

The most interesting here was the food..Free of charge…Slurp!!Nasi lemak, ikan keli, mee goreng… My stomach is groaning…I’m hungry now..In BTN, we would have 6 times just to eat…Breakfast, dinner, supper and….My mission is a little bit successful…Need to put a few more efforts..What’s it??? To increase my weight..Huhu.

I was grateful to be there because I had an experience to have and play absceiling.. I wanted to do more…Twice, triple and many times…Hopefully, but I didn’t have opportunity to do it more there…I’m looking forward to play this activity in the future at anytime...

BTN BEST!!!!!

Quiz.

In INTEC, I have to sit for examinations and not only that, I have to sit the quizzes for many subjects such as Physiology, Biology and Bio-Chemistry..Wua..Wua.. It means that I need to prepare myself with the tough questions in quizzes..

To be frank and honest, I'm the last minute person..But I can't continuing this habit..I must avoid it..I have to be prepared for each single time so that I will not left behind either in my study or my quiz and exam.

Last week, I got the marks for Bio-Chem quiz.. I'm not satisfied with my effort for this quiz.. No wonder, I got low marks for it..Serve your right, Afifah!!But, I can't give up.. I have to do my best and I know I can do it..

At the same day, I sit for Physiology's quiz..Uhh!!!Hard and tough questions.. It's just like Biology question but since I just got A2 for the Biology in SPM, I thought that it's hard and challenge myself to excel in this subject..But, I love and have a strong interest to be a doctor. No matter what, I want to be a doctor.Insya-Allah..

Now, I'm preparing myself for coming Bio-Chem quiz...Wish me luck!!I hope I can improve and get the higher mark in this quiz..CHAYO!!!

Drama...

I gain a lot of experience since I study in INTEC..Lots of memorable and interesting experience.. Yea!!Yea!!!
My classmates and I had to participate in each discussion or activity and we need to be active students in the class.. Not the passive one..Just nodding the heads and writing the lecturer's note..It's not enough..To be a pre-medical student, it's more than what we expect.. I have to be brave in sharing the brilliant ideas when having the lecture.. I try my best and I'm willing to do it.
Last week, my group consist of Hidayah, Nisa, Fatin, Atiqah, Nabihah and me participated in Arabic drama..Interesting!!Syoknye...Best!!! Hidayah and Nisa as the customers in Rafi's Bistro, Fatin as the boss, Nabihah as the chef..Last but not least, the gorgeous waiters, who are Atiqah and me..Huhu..
The ustaz recorded the drama via his camera..and for sure, he will comment on it this coming Monday..I enjoyed participating in this drama.I had a big laughter when seeing the drama, which was shown by our guy's group...Funny!!!Congratz, guys!!!
Urp!!!Today is a Father's Day.. I really forgot about this but it's not too late..
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!
  1. To my beloved father, EN. RAHIMI BIN MAMAT
  2. Lecturers...
  3. All fathers in the world

Language...

It's same but not too alike...Arabic Language. It's different with what I had learnt in school before for the past five years..I have to bear in my mind that it's totally different.Huh!! But I enjoyed learning this language..Arabic language.
In INTEC, I learn Arabic with Us. Januddin..It's known as Arabic ammi but not the Arabic fushah..Ammi is usually used as a communication language in Egypt. Hence, we need to learn the language and master it as well..
At the same time, I got some information about Egypt from the ustaz since
he also studied there but in Al-Azhar University.Wuh!! The oldest university but yet still a famous university not only in Egypt but also around the world.
My friends and I have to pronunce the words correctly with the correct intonation..
Firm!! No more uh..uh... or urm..urm...We can also imagine the behaviour of the people in Egypt via the language..Means that the Arabics are simple person as they not too much considering about their grammar when speaking..
I LOVE Arabic Language!!!

Islam and Medicine

"Health is wealth". It is undeniable to say that health is important for us to lead a happy life. Islam recommend us to stay healthy in sake for strong ummah.

Islam and medicine is interrelated. To say that medicine is not a part of Islam is not fair since Avicenna or also known as Ibnu Sina was a famous officer in medical field. He was the writer for 'al-Qanun fil al-Tibb' book. Besides, 'al-Hawi', which is the oldest medical manuscriptreserved in the world. Now, the manuscript is in Merryland. In conclusion, Islam was glorious in medical field before this. Fuyoo!!!

Interested!! I'm willing to be part of Malaysians and Muslim to succeed and develop in medical field. That's why I'm not regret to pursue my study in medicine in Egypt although it is hard course and need lots of discipline. I hope I shall have strength to face challenges in Egypt in order to succeed.

In International Education Centre (INTEC), I'm not exceptional to study Islamic Education as usual. Class CTISO7, Civilization in Medicine began on Wednesday. Ust. Noor Arfa as usual introduced herself and gave brief explanation on the subject. We could study the history of Islam from the beginning until nowadays. Not to forget, we had an assignment to be done that must be submit before 1st July 2009. Yeah!! :)

Then, I accompanied the class representive, Nur Shaymak finding Ust. Rukiah Mohamad. She is the lecturer for the subject Introduction to Islam and Medicine (CTISO8). We already had a task for the subject before the class started. Assignment again...and we have to do presentation on certain topics that had been given to us.

By the way, I would grab this golden opportunity to study medicine and also the development of Islam in the medical field. I really hope that Islam will dominate and reach for the stars in the medical field just like before this...

First Day in INTEC

Nervous. Curious. Interested. Energetic. That's my feeling on the first day as a new student in INTEC, the famous tertiary education. Everyone dreams to be here and I'm grateful to be one of the INTEC's community.

Ring!Ring! The alarm clock stroke at 5 a.m. I woke up and prepared early to go INTEC together with my housemates. Unfortunately, I wrongly seeing the schedule although had a look at it for times.

Enrolled in INTEC means that I was not a secondary student anymore. Now, I'm having a new world in this situation. It was a stepping stone for me to succeed in the future. The first class, MEEL01 began. Miss Siti Hasnaa introduced herself after asking my coursemates and me recommended ourselves. She asked us to choose class representatives. Look around!! There was only a guy at the edge of the room. Afiq was fortunate one since he was chosen as our class representative while Nur Shaymak as the assistant.

Amusive.Fun. Laughable. What's more could I say??!!We looked up picture dictionary and tried to pronunce the words corerctly. By the way, I enjoyed learning English for this time. Next class, Computer Literacy (MECL01) started at 2 p.m. Best!! We just had the breaking ice session and told our knowledge in IT field. To be honest, I just had basic knowledge in Microsoft Office but mastered in watching videos on Youtube.

Yeah!! The class ended. I'm eager to face the coming days in INTEC for this 3 months. I wish I can succeed in my life in INTEC. Success is not a matter of chance but it is a matter of choice. I choose to succeed instead of failure but yet,I still could not imagine my life in the future..
