Islam and Medicine

"Health is wealth". It is undeniable to say that health is important for us to lead a happy life. Islam recommend us to stay healthy in sake for strong ummah.

Islam and medicine is interrelated. To say that medicine is not a part of Islam is not fair since Avicenna or also known as Ibnu Sina was a famous officer in medical field. He was the writer for 'al-Qanun fil al-Tibb' book. Besides, 'al-Hawi', which is the oldest medical manuscriptreserved in the world. Now, the manuscript is in Merryland. In conclusion, Islam was glorious in medical field before this. Fuyoo!!!

Interested!! I'm willing to be part of Malaysians and Muslim to succeed and develop in medical field. That's why I'm not regret to pursue my study in medicine in Egypt although it is hard course and need lots of discipline. I hope I shall have strength to face challenges in Egypt in order to succeed.

In International Education Centre (INTEC), I'm not exceptional to study Islamic Education as usual. Class CTISO7, Civilization in Medicine began on Wednesday. Ust. Noor Arfa as usual introduced herself and gave brief explanation on the subject. We could study the history of Islam from the beginning until nowadays. Not to forget, we had an assignment to be done that must be submit before 1st July 2009. Yeah!! :)

Then, I accompanied the class representive, Nur Shaymak finding Ust. Rukiah Mohamad. She is the lecturer for the subject Introduction to Islam and Medicine (CTISO8). We already had a task for the subject before the class started. Assignment again...and we have to do presentation on certain topics that had been given to us.

By the way, I would grab this golden opportunity to study medicine and also the development of Islam in the medical field. I really hope that Islam will dominate and reach for the stars in the medical field just like before this...
